Fabulous stop over !

Liked: A couple we met by chance recommended this hotel and it was fantastic for a one night stop over on our way to Glasgow. It is a special hotel the food is outstanding and the furnishings are very tasteful with so many lovely little touches. The staff are also a credit to the hotel friendly and professional we will definitely return

Idyllic!

Liked: The location was perfect, close enough to Keswick, but far enough to be away from the hustle and bustle. The bar/restaurant area was beautiful - we didn’t eat at the hotel, but did have drinks in the bar & it was lovely. Room was gorgeous.. made all the better by the stunning views from the window. Bed - ridiculously comfortable, just what was needed after a busy day walking! Bathroom - gorgeous!
Disliked: The only criticisms I could give would be: 1) The shower tray in the bathroom needs sorting out - as soon as you turn the water on, it fills up.. at one point I had to switch it off as the water level rose over my foot and up to the bottom of the shower door. 2) The fan in the bathroom sounds like a helicopter! It was SO loud, we had to switch it off at the wall!

Beautiful 4star hotel in great...

Liked: The beautiful location and views from the hotel. The peaceful ambience. The friendly staff. We got upgraded to a suite - fabulous, massive!

Borrowdale Gates was our favourite...

Liked: Location, tranquility, style, friendliness of the staff , food was amazing both evening meal and breakfast, bed linen and towels were quality we had a great stay thank you.
Disliked: N/A

Liked: Excellent Location with Stunning Views, Great for Access to Derwent Water for a nice walk. Friendly Staff, Good Food and drinks.
Disliked: Pillows Weren't to our liking.
