Long delay at check-in, room...

Liked: Room was spacious and clean
Disliked: I had indicated that we would be arriving about 1pm, Hotel confirmed check-in at 3pm, at 3pm, we went to reception and was informed that the room jot ready and would need another 20 mins We waited, and after half an hour, we checked again and was told it still wasn't ready. Eventually, the room was ready at 3:50pm. Reception staff didn't offer anything, i.e., tea/coffee, to help with the inconvenience of waiting with children. They didn’t ask to take luggage, so we had to wait with cases. We lost an hour waiting with family and luggage . Nothing suggested to help with long delay and after travelling to the hotel it did take the good out of it.

Liked: Evening dinner was excellent and staff were excellent and very happy. As well breakfast staff were pleasant and happy
Disliked: The breakfast buffet wasn't related to a four star establishment. Overcooked and quite obviously reheated from yesterday or last week. Stayed 2 nights and only had breakfast one morning. That should be enough to explain how bad breakfast was. A local filling station did a far superior breakfast roll. Shocking that management allow this when everything else is so good
