Great time, nice and relaxing...
Liked: Location of the barge, and it was different to stay on a boat, lovely and quiet and was great location for the train station for travelling around.
Disliked: Do feel for the price paid a limited continental breakfast could have been included as there were no facilities to make a hot drink unless you paid extra for a kettle.

Liked: Although there was an issue with my room and I decided to not sleep over (an issue can always happen), I have to say that the location was very nice and the room my brother and his wife stayed in was perfect.I received my payment back, so very good customer service.
Disliked: In the end I did not sleep over and drive back home to Antwerp. The bedroom had a strong smell, I would compare it to the smell of “diesel fuel”… for sure a headache if I would spend the night in that specific room.My brother and his wife had a room downstairs without any issues. The hotel reacted in a very correct way, apologised for the inconvenience and even repaid my stay.Since their customer service is spot on, I will give this hotel another try the next time I visit Bruges.

Nice in concept, poor on...
Disliked: The bed was two twins pushed together with a metal bar connecting the two lengthwise which made sleeping and turning incredibly painful after repeatedly hitting a hip or back against the metal bar.Breakfast buffet was expensive for very little variety and sketchy quality of food. The food items didn't appear fresh. After the first breakfast, we opted not to eat onsite for the remainder of our stay. The room was exceptionally over warm and there was no way to control the room temperature without opening the windows and letting lots of mosquitoes into the room.Everything looked a bit worn and it was not an upscale experience. If I hadn't prepaid the booking I would have checkout and found another hotel.

Very good
Liked: Great location
Disliked: Not the best for winter, I think summer when the patio is open and it's a bit more lively would be better. It's a unique stay all the same

A wonderful, quirky place to...
Liked: A lovely welcome from the staff, a great location overlooking the canal, a comfortable bed and the food at the restaurant - it was excellent. We did breakfast twice in the three mornings we were there and it was generous and catered to all our tastes. We were suitably surprised at how good dinner was! The lamb stew was the best!!!It's a picturesque walk into town where there is loads to do - delicious Belgian chocolate and waffles!
Disliked: Some slight noise could be heard from other neighbouring room but it was not too noisy to disturb our sleep.

Passable
Liked: The location and setting on the canal.
Disliked: Our friends had bed bugs so we were quite paranoid we would get them as well.
