Superb

Liked: Loved having the bath in the bedroom and the generously sized room and bed. Good to be able to bring the dog too. The staff were generally excellent, friendly and helpful. Breakfast choices were great and the food was good.

Outstanding staff

Liked: Outstanding staff who were really friendly and seemed to all enjoy their jobs. Extremely dog friendly. We had a really wonderful festive stay.

Traditional Scottish countryside weekend getaway

Liked: Loved the location, very easy to get around by car, park, and there were nearby many sightseeing areas and walks/hikes. The Andersons restaurant down the road was delicious too, walking distance.We also enjoyed the interior design and aesthetic of the place, including the many Chrismas decorations.Lastly, the staff were absolutely lovely here!
Disliked: Unfortunately both our nights had interrupted sleep with an alarm going off at 6am outside the window for what felt like 5-10 minutes. Though we had to rush off on check-out day so we failed to bring this up with staff at the time.The room was also too small for two people plus luggage cases, and not many places to organise our things. This was a shame, as we heard the rooms could be very spacious, and our room was indeed a "small" double room, as written! I would suggest fixing the water pressure in the shower of this room, as the bathroom is beautiful and newly designed but has disappointing shower pressure.One thing that would be great here would be a useable common area to lounge in, possibly read, play pool or play board games. The space seems there for it!

Relaxing one night stopover in...

Liked: Pretty village location next to steam railway station Good size room with nice views. Cozy bar and restaurant with open fire. Well looked after by helpful staff. Very good choice of breakfast.
Disliked: All good

Wonderful country hotel of quality.

Liked: Plenty of character in this elderly hotel. Our room overlooked the Strathspey Railway station with further views to the Cairngorms. Smartly decorated room with a modern touch. Bath tub positioned for the view. Very clean. Comfortable beds and lovely pillows. Quality welcome tray and quality showering products. Breakfast was extremely good and plentiful.
Disliked: Absolutely nothing
