This is the most beautiful hotel I've ever visited. The staff is top class professional at every level. My husband and I were so impressed. The decor was stunning. We will return!

Liked: The staff were top class, especially the bellman(?) Michael who helped to find a lost cell phone. He took care of me like I was family!
Disliked: No hot tub or pool (lol).

Personnel very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean, fridge and microwave a plus. Excellent!

Disliked: Needed a shower cap.

Would definitely stay again

Liked: Enjoyed our stay in Chicago. Hotel was in good location for train station, park and restaurants. Room was fairly quiet only downside was could not get it cooler - was a little too warm for us. Comfy bed and well equipped room with fridge, microwave, coffee maker. We did not have room serviced through choice during our stay we just left privacy notice on door. Staff very friendly.

Liked: The hotel has been restored beautifully. It's clean and modern but still has a historic and unique feel, not like a chain hotel. Very comfortable and quiet. The location was perfect for walking to landmarks and SAIC. The food and service at the restaurant was exceptional, and discounts there and at other local places were terrific! Showtime made the whole experience extra enjoyable. He made sure we were always taken care of when we left. We also liked the Chicago scavenger hunt.
Disliked: Check-in was a little lacking. The person at the desk took a while to find our reservation, did not direct us to the elevator nor explain that there is no access to the 8th floor (we had to get off at 7 and walk up a few stairs). She asked for my phone number but didn't explain that I would be getting text messages from the SMS concierge, and also didn't give us 3 keys for the 3 guests in the room. All ended up fine. These were very minor things, but didn't match with the outstanding service we received elsewhere in the hotel during our stay.
