Excellent choice for a stay...

Liked: Very friendly staff. Lovely common areas. Perfect location at one end of the main street through town, with plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, etc. within just a few minutes walk. Great view of Mirror Lake from our room!
Disliked: Continental breakfast is expensive.

It was wonderful, the hotel...

Liked: Loved the vibe and coziness. The staff was vey helpful and responsive. Loved the ability to text with staff about the accommodations and housekeeping.
Disliked: My only suggestion would be a mat at the door or a shoe holder to avoid the melted snow puddles in the doorway of the rooms.

Liked: Very clean, close to everything, very comfortable.

Liked: The decor was lovely. The large lobby area with comfortable lounge seating as well as table seating was great to sit at to play games, eat, read books with the family.
Disliked: Our room had no hot water for showering, it was barely lukewarm. The pool was closed the 5 days we were there. The indoor pool was one of the main reasons we booked this hotel. We were very disappointed it was not open.

Liked: Location to the Main Street is about the only thing to like about this hotel!
Disliked: Staff were not friendly or helpful and told us different answers to the Americans in the queue (but that’s common we found in all of Lake Placid! Not foreigner friendly - had more success when we put an American accent on!) after staying in some beautiful Bluebird hotels we thought we would try again! (Should have read the reviews) rooms all look at the car park and we were given a room next to the lift and main lobby. No sound proofing to outside or inside! We heard every persons conversation who entered! Rooms were dirty and for $600 a night NOT at all worth the money! Stay anywhere but here! Very very disappointing!

Liked: Excellent location, incredible number of options for lounging around with family and friends in shared spaces that were cleaned and tidied throughout the day, staff perfectly friendly and helpful. Lovely room, comfortable, great view of Mirror Lake. Excellent coffee. Traveled with children but if we would have enjoyed facilities just as much as a couple. Will be back!
