Liked: Good location, secure
Disliked: Only had back entrance to motel, not well notified. Outside of building rundown. Minimal info from reception

Good value for money in...

Liked: The location was good. On the Hill above Battery Point. Within walking distance of town and the markets. The room was clean and had the self-contained amenities you would expect. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of linen and towels. It was good value for money. Parking was on a "first come" basis but we had no problem each time we returned to the building over two days.
Disliked: The building and rooms are pretty run down. I don't mean dirty (it wasn't) but things like carpets etc are just plain worn out. Finding the way to the room on the top floor was a bit of guesswork and it could have been better sign-posted but we did arrive after hours. There is an onsite laundry (washing machine and dryer) and they are reasonably priced but the room is only available during business hours.

Close to Salamanca and cheap

Liked: Run down, holes in carpet, half the slats missing in the blinds
Disliked: Run down. Listing says parking but only enough for a couple of rooms

Basic third world

Liked: It is in a great location.
Disliked: There were only 2 pillows for 2 people. One was all of 5cm thick and the other stuffed with foam bits which threw your head around. The light above the bed had a blown globe and there was only one bedside light. There is paint falling off the walls and part of the window blind is missing.. The carpet on the main stairs is worn right through and dangerous. There is no staff on duty after 5pm so no one to help you. The price for the room was quoted as $97 but I was charged $109. The booking form showed that I had a baby with me. Not had one of those for years. All in all very shabby.
