Very good

Liked: The hotel's location is very good, in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful houses, close to Notting Hill Gate Underground Station.
Disliked: When we entered the room it was very cold. The reception told us that during the day the heat does not work continuously, it works with a 4h break, only at night the heat is continuous. The windows are old and the cold comes in at the joints, the curtains have to cover the windows continuously to keep the cold out.The breakfast is not varied, only one kind of ham, salami and sliced cheese, boiled eggs, cereals, yogurt, milk, jam and Nutella. In 2 of the mornings there were also tomatoes, but in the 3rd morning they were out of stock. The towels were not changed in the 3 days we were accommodated. Also, another thing that was disturbing is that the light bulbs are not strong, with them on in the room it was semi-dark.You can hear the subway, but it wasn't that problematic, we had a room on the 1st floor.

London visit

Liked: I was pleasantly surprised by my very comfortable, clean, and quite spacious room. The staff were exceptionally nice and welcoming. The breakfast was great with a good selection of items. Also, for me the location was perfect
Disliked: Initially, the noise of the underground, but I got used to it. And a minor detail the hair dryer sounded like a power drill!!

Sleep sacrifice for a great...

Liked: Great location. Decent enough selection at breakfast. Good water pressure and temperature on showers.
Disliked: Walls are very thin. I could hear rooms either side when in their bathrooms and any slight noise or walking from rooms above could be heard. The room itself was for solo travellers. Hallway lights are always left on so the gaps around the door were letting lots of light into the small room. On my checkout day the man on the desk was rude. He was on his phone on a call, Didn’t acknowledge me just snatched the key from me, no thanks for staying. Polar opposite of my experience checking in, as that person was great.

Good

Liked: the hotel is located very close to Hyde Park. Rooms were a bit old fashioned but it didn't bother me. Staff was super helpful and nice. The only thing I would have liked to have next time if I were stay at this play is a better choice for breakfast which was basic (toast, boiled eggs, basic ham/cheese etc). Some sausages, scrambled eggs and/or porridge would be great ( we stayed for 2 nights).
Disliked: quality of breakfast

Careful! Bedbugs

Liked: Location only. And the support fee received from Claudia at the front desk.
Disliked: We found bedbugs. Disturbing us the rest the trip and the following days to ensure the cloths and the luggage and ourselves were not bringing anything else.Old house with old fornitures

Superb

Liked: The location of the hotel was lovely - in a quiet street itself, but lively streets within a walking distance that had lots of little shops and restaurants and cafes. Tube station was close-by. The room was good size. The breakfast had good selection and also had gluten-free options. Staff were very friendly. Wifi was good.
Disliked: Nothing to point out.
