Stop on the way back...

Liked: Location in a quiet area, but still close to the metro station. The room was bigger than we expected in advance. There was a fridge in the room. Short distance walk to Portobello road.
Disliked: The stairs were narrow and it was difficult to carry luggage. The hotel was a maze. There was no warm food at breakfast. The sounds of the passing subway could be heard in the room.

Exceptional

Will not visit again as...

Liked: Staff were fine, location fine. Room a good size and bathroom very nice. Bed comfortable. Breakfast though basic was adequate and there was plenty of coffee.
Disliked: Room had strange musty smell especially on entering. There were no bedside lights. The bedding was clean but not big enough for the bed which was a superking (neither the sheet nor the duvet was big enough). The TV did not work on basic channels, we watched through iplayer when we could but programme kept spooling, the wifi was inadequate for it.

Nothing bad happened, so overall...

Liked: Location, staff is kind, breakfast is good
Disliked: The safety case in the wardrobe is actually broken. And the kettle only works sometimes. The plugs on the table, are all broken as well.There’s no second safety lock on the door.
