Would stay again but would book with them direct.

Liked: The staff, location and the hotel itself were all excellent.
Disliked: The fact that the full cost of the stay was taken from my bank on Monday and when I arrived on Thursday was told I had to pay again as the payment on Monday was from Booking.com (the reference on the pending transfer says Blanch House) people, and I still have not received the money back yet. Very angry at this in fact.

Not worth the money

Liked: We were able to drop our suitcase off before checking in, which was helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the room was warm, after we turned the radiator on.
Disliked: The water in the shower was lukewarm at it's best so neither myself nor my husband were able to have a shower. The water in the bathroom sink took 10 mins to get hot. The bathroom was freezing. The bathroom tap was loose. It was dark in the room, even with the light on, so ir made it impossible to read a book.Also, when I booked the hotel, I mentioned in the special requests that it was our 2nd wedding anniversary, but when we got to the hotel and mentioned it, the receptionist had no idea it was our anniversary so they took absolutely no notice of the special request.

Liked: Blanch House was lovely, some really great touches, well thought through. Check in was quick and easy, the room well decorated and lovely. The homemade biscuits were a lovely extra.Close to the centre to walk so very convenient. Good shower in the morning. Room was compact but had everything and price reflected this.
Disliked: The parking was stressful as we couldn't find anywhere initially but we eventually did along the seafront and in the end it worked out well as we could pay online for or hour in the morning.The room we had backed on to a pub garden which was a little noisy. Thankfully it didn't stay open really late.
