Above and beyond

Liked: My parents couldn't say any more about this hotel. They thoroughly enjoyed their stay here. The staff, location and hotel itself were excellent. As my Dad arrived on his 70th birthday he was greeted with a happy birthday, their room was upgraded and a surprise cake in their room. Such a lovely gesture. They would highly recommend this hotel.

We can’t fault the hotel,...

Liked: Excellent location! Within walking distance of all the attractions we wanted to see, Paddington Station and surrounded by a wide variety of restaurants. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Clean and tidy all around. Bar fridge in the room was a pleasant surprise.
Disliked: On arrival we got upgraded to a Junior Executive Suite on the ground floor, with a Subway line running below the room (hotel). We could hear the train and feel the vibration thereof during operating hours. Quite disturbing. Our view was of the huge black wheelie bins used by the hotel. The bathroom is tiny and whilst showering water would go in all directions, even over the shower screen, that was obviously not efficient, causing a dangerously wet floor. Bath is too small, could barely move. One would expect to have a decent coffee machine in a Junior Executive Suite, dissappointingly not. Only a kettle and instant coffee/tea you would find in any standard room.
