We spent 3 days, from 31 December 2021 until 3 January 2022. We went to attend the Allstate Sugar Bowl where our home team Baylor Bears played. The hotel is older, but well maintained and clean. All the staff we came into contact with were amazing! We stayed on the 8th floor and Charisma was our housekeeper. She was very helpful and kind.

Liked: Rooms were comfortable and clean. Beds were very nice and being an older hotel, very well maintained.

Disliked: my room was only cleaned on the last day of my 4 nights stay, frankly zero, it was like being in a 70s soap opera.The cleanliness of the hotel leaves much to be desired

Liked: Location, coffee shop next to it.
Disliked: Extremely dirty, noisy, there are some outside room generators working 24/24, personel has to be asked to bring coffee, sugar, towels to the room. They just made your bed.

Disliked: The smell of chlorine bleach was so strong it was unbearable. I asked to switch rooms but no room was available. It was so strong it irritated my eyes and throat.

Rueben made are stay very...

Liked: The only problem there was a dirty towel rolled up for use and when I brought it to the attention of Rueben, all towels were immediately replaced. Rueben was great!!!
Disliked: More choices for breakfast in the restaurant

Disappointing

Liked: I liked how close it was within walking distance of where we were going.
Disliked: Did not like how check in was at 4 and when we got there around 5 they said our room wouldn’t not be ready for another almost 3 hours. So we had to change /get ready in our car for the evening and didnt check in until 12:30 am

Poor customer service!

Disliked: I arrived at 4pm Sunday to check in and had to stay in the lobby for almost 2 hrs before we could get a room. My daughters had to get ready for the night in the lobby. This is unacceptable!! I paid for my two rooms back in January!! When I asked the front desk why they just replied with “they didn’t anticipate this.” Anticipate people checking in by 4pm for a hotel room (x2) that they booked 9 months ago and paid for in full 9 months ago… again unacceptable!!
