We spent 3 days, from 31 December 2021 until 3 January 2022. We went to attend the Allstate Sugar Bowl where our home team Baylor Bears played. The hotel is older, but well maintained and clean. All the staff we came into contact with were amazing! We stayed on the 8th floor and Charisma was our housekeeper. She was very helpful and kind.

Liked: Rooms were comfortable and clean. Beds were very nice and being an older hotel, very well maintained.
Disliked: None.

It was good. The location...

Liked: We stayed at the hotel because of the location to Mardi Gras. The staff were very friendly and helpful, Chris was happy to provide a lists of restaurants in the area and Mignon went out of her way to help us, which we really appreciated. The hotel provided towels and toiletries when asked. They were also kind enough to hold packages that were delivered to us. All in all, a very pleasant stay.
Disliked: Our key cards had to be reset each day. The room wasn't vacuumed during our stay. The hotel interior is becoming outdated so will need to be updated soon.

Disliked: I got double charged for a shitty room I didn't stay in but 30 min and didn't get my deposit back and the TV didn't work room was bot clean sheets was dirty

Good

Liked: Booking really needs to put a note about the parking not being available during Mardi Gras. Took 3 hours to find parking because of the street closures.
Disliked: Get what you pay for. Definitely nothing fancy about this hotel. Only access to food was a very expensive buffet. On route of parades.

Disliked: Staff was largely not friendly or welcoming. was unable or unwilling to provide information regarding parking. dining room and bar staff were quite the opposite. .friendly and accommodating. no room cleaning following first night's stay. Fine after that.
