Lovely clean place.

Liked: Hotel is clean and comfortable.
Disliked: My room was cold.Had to ask for a heater.Theyd run out and I asked for a an extra blanket.Central heating was off.

Exceptional

Good working man's Hotel

Liked: Staff are very polite and efficient. Hotel quite dated, though. It was freezing outside with snow on the ground, but the room was very cold. The staff did send up a small electric radiator, which helped a lot, though. The shower was a manual pipe from the hot and cold bath taps, with a shower curtain, but once again, the water hot, it is just old fashioned. Breakfast was a help yourself buffet, but they made me some fresh porridge, which was nice. Overall, it was reasonable value but in need of an update. The cost was £105 for one night, including breakfast, which is good.
Disliked: The bathroom, which was old-fashioned and the unreliable central heating.

Disappointing

Disliked: Not happy that they gave the room key to my ex to leave flowers in my room, luckily we are still friends, even-so I did find it a little creepy, surely its a breach of data protection

Pleasant

Liked: Nice quite location. Breakfast was good, they catered for vegetarians.Staff were friendly.
Disliked: Walls too thin so was disturbed by guest next door where they had the TV on and were speaking loudly.Basic small room, OK for 1 night but in hindsight should have booked a bigger room for 4 nights.
