Nice place but a little...

Liked: Beautiful location, clean bathroom
Disliked: I think the price was quite high for what it was, plus the double bed wasn’t a double but two singles beds joined together, which made it uncomfortable to sleep on.

This is a wonderful hotel...

Liked: Location superb, good spa, easy parking.
Disliked: Food was adequate but not spectacular. Staff were friendly but not engaging, had to ask for almost everything such as ice bucket, for the wine to be taken to the table etc etc. some of the wines listed were not available. Got the impression the staff were not supervised or trained very well. The receptionist was not helpful and positively dismissive when we wanted to check in. Room had no view and workmen walked passed the window all the time.

A beautiful place but our...

Liked: Beautiful surroundings. Spacious bedroom. Comfortable bed. Generally clean. Quiet. Some of the staff were helpful eg. Ryan.
Disliked: We didn't feel welcomed. There was a lot of confusion around the admin connected with our stay - we had booked a private dining room (at an extra cost) for a family event. Information hadn't been passed on. A member of staff finally apologised for this, but it took a while. The food, both at dinner and at breakfast, was disappointing. We felt we were upsold expensive bottles of wine at dinner, because they had run out of the more reasonably priced bottles. The decor in some areas felt quite tired. The carpet in our room and in corridors was stained. The tennis courts needed resurfacing. Some of the staff looked tense and miserable. There was more admin confusion when we checked out. Given that we had chosen Billesley Manor for a special event, we would have liked more care and interest from the events staff, and maybe a call after our stay to see how things had gone.

Liked: The hotel is beautiful with lovely gardens and very peaceful. The beds are super comfy and an excellent refurbished bathroom. Dinner was good and a really good varied breakfast. The staff were polite and helpful.
Disliked: If you have any accessibility issues some staircases steep and narrow and some corridors long.
