Not good vfm if just...

Liked: Gabriel on reception was superb .. professional and friendly, exemplary customer service.
Disliked: We have been staying here for 20yrs and have seen its slow decline and deterioration .. it is becoming a bit shabby (and although we understand why, it is a shame the pool is no longer there). To be fair it is clean. This visit our room was cold, the heating system didn't work properly and didn't heat the room .. what it did seem to do was draw cool air in from the hole in the bathroom ceiling and it's ill-fitting ceiling tiles .. the draught being such that the bathroom door would not stay shut .. I think the door catch didn't work. We went to breakfast at 9.45 and although it was quiet, the milk hadn't been topped up, the eggs were a bit tired and the bacon was as hard as leather .. we accept that catering balance is tricky with varying numbers and attendance times but a shame all the same. Premier Inn breakfast provision superior on all levels and gives better value for money if you dont need the broader 'hotel' experience (provision of gym, laundry, meeting rooms etc).

Disliked: The Room was really cold, even when they gave us a portable heater, it didn't warm up the room much.

Liked: Staff were polite and helpful
Disliked: The mattress on the bed was really bad. It had a big dent hollow which made my husband struggle to sleep as it was on his side of the bed.The toilet disturbed us the whole night as the cistern was just releasing water without flashing. It was like that when we checked into the room. I am disappointed as I had high expectation as am not new to delta hotel am a customer.
