Beverly Laurel Motor Hotel, Los Angeles

My sister and I stayed at the Beverly Laurel in Mid October, 2016. The staff and location were great. It was within walking distance (2 Blocks) to the Price is Right show. We also were able to meet Drew Carey at a restaurant in the area. This was definitely a highlight for us. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We felt safe at the Beverly Laurel and in the area - as two older ladies that was very important. We would definitely stay at the Beverly Laurel again.

I have stayed at this hotel 4 times in the past due to the location. It has always been "fine" for the money, but now it has been updated and made into this cool mid century jewel - what a treat! I will never stay anywhere else.

Liked: Updated and AMAZING!

Liked: Nice clean rooms; friendly staff and valet; attached restaurant a plus.
Disliked: AC was hard to configure - kept changing to heat when set AC; parking a little high.

Cool hotel that is in...

Liked: I was a little nervous with some of the recent bad reviews, but I have to say our stay was outstanding. Understand issues do arise and reviews definitely help the property to know pain points and to hopefully correct them. We arrived super late and someone was at the front desk ready to check us in. Yes, the elevator is still out but understand this hotel is only two stories and you can easily carry your luggage. The staff was also willing to help. Every employee we came across was friendly and accommodating. Loved the location and retro vibe. Swingers Diner is associated with the property and their food and servers were great. Would definitely stay again.
Disliked: Very minor dislike. Towels were small and not absorbent.

Bruin family weekend 2024

Liked: Great location, just down the street is the Beverly center for shopping and close to UCLA. Right next door was a coffee shop which made things a lot easier to grab a bite to eat.
Disliked: The hotel had a broken elevator, but one flight of stairs was okay. House keeping was a little loud. They banged their cart against the wall super hard. It literally moved the headboard which slam back against the wall. Waking us up early then expected. My suggestion would be change the mattress's, it had a big dip from multiple people sleeping in it. It was very hard to get a good night sleep.
