The Victorian Best Western York House Hotel has been family-run since 1896. Eastbourne's shopping and theaters can be reached in around a 10 minute walk. Guests can relax on the sea-view terrace and enjoy cocktails. Drinks are also offered at Verandah Bar and good food and wine is available in the dining room. Convenient position, comfortable.

Liked: Breakfast as hoped for. Cooked well, warm plates. Staff helpful and prompt with hot drinks.Made use of the pool before breakfast.

Liked: Lovation
Disliked: Hotel room was grubby and tired. Tea and coffee tray was filthy with spillages and water stains.Bed linen was clean but had stains on and wasn't changed for our second night The bar area was in need of a deep clean. It smelt stale and it had the blinds down to block out the sound of the wind coming in through the windows
