Liked: Lovely breakfast .plenty of choice .cooked breakfast nice and hot .nice setting where castle is
Disliked: Heating comming on through night .no its a old building. And bit more room in bathroom

One day break near Darlington.

Liked: We liked everything The staff were really helpful and friendly the manager even took us to have a look in the dungeons. The food was really good both breakfast and evening meal.
Disliked: No heating in the bathroom . Struggle to get channels on TV when I reported this at reception they said I needed to be at a certain angle with the remote.

Liked: Warm friendly staffExcellent food and very generous portions.
Disliked: Lack of decoration on walls, lacked pictures, perhaps more historical facts photos.In the Hansatds' Suite all the walls were bare.A fridge would have been nice.

Overnight stay

Liked: The staff were brilliant, nothing was a problem to them, very friendly and professional. The breakfast and evening meal were absolutely delicious, would recommend a visit.
Disliked: They didn't have a lift, there were a lot of stairs to climb if you are elderly to reach the bedrooms higher up in the castle.
