The entire hotel was very hot. My room never cooled off and smelled like an old dog. Made for a tough weekend.

No help Hurricane Hotel.
Liked: Some staff were nice. it was a safe place to stay during the hurricane.
Disliked: 1st I get due to hurricane there was no power but we only got two towels during the three day outage. I was double charged and didn't get refund for a week. I get they couldn't serve hot food for breakfast with out power but why no pastries,, bagels, fruit, snacks or water. Why not give snacks to guest instead of trying to sell them when we were stuck without food and no free breakfast or even a reduced rate. Our room never got cleaned at all. Why couldn't trash be taken out and the room swept which would not have needed electricity. Also we needed to extend our stay because our house was flooded but they wouldn't extend for us the Hurricane victims because the workers coming to help the victims needed the room. Ironic!! We stayed without electricity for four days and then got kicked out when electricity came back on. Where is the compassion for a hurricane victim who lost so much due to flood!!

Disaster. BW ill-equipped
Disliked: On 9/26/24, Hurricane Helene struck the area, causing massive destruction and sustained power outage. Within the BW property there was no apparent emergency plan. There appeared to be just one person remaining to staff the front desk, and he had no ability to mitigate the loss of power. It is understood that BW employees were stranded in their own homes, and we had no expectation of continued service. However, safety became paramount. There were no available flashlights or other light source. More importantly, the two stairwells were plunged into complete blackness, when the wall-mounted emergency lights did not function due to no battery backup. Exterior doors were propped open, removing security protection. Both issues created significant BW liability.
