Birthday stay

Liked: A beautiful hotel steeped in history staff were fantastic and happy to help we have stayed before and will definitely stay again.
Disliked: The room was full of caricature a fire place sloppy floors everything you would expect from a 600 year old coaching inn.

Liked: Room was a good size with charging points next to the bed. The shower had power with a good range of temperature.Towels were warm and fluffy.Staff were helpful and pleasant.
Disliked: Hotel was empty - even eat alone at breakfast. This is a shame as they have a lot to offer.

Liked: The location was useful for me and the staff were pleasant.
Disliked: Horribly noisy. Think there must be heating infrastructure above the bedrooms? Also street lights directly outside the windows and poor curtain coverage. Got confused by the breakfast system and ended up paying 15£ for a bad croissant.

Liked: Ease of booking in and payment. Excellent, well informed and polite staff from the reception desk, bar and the serving staff at breakfast.
Disliked: Chef putting pepper on the mushrooms and tomatoes. But we can let that slide due to the extremely excellent servings of smoked salmon and scrambled egg.
