Located within a 14th-century coaching inn the award-winning Best Western Rose and Crown Hotel is located just a 15 minutes' walk from the center of historic Colchester. The Rose and Crown offers guests both modern and oak-beamed rooms which all include free Wi-Fi flat-screen TVs with Freeview channels tea and coffee-making facilities and private bathrooms. Food and drink at the Rose and Crown is provided at both the formal hotel restaurant and the Tudor Bar and Brasserie with its real log fires. All food is home-produced and made using seasonal ingredients. Kitchen is closed for lunch and dinner. Very good

Liked: Really enjoyed our night...but 5.30am on a Sunday morning very loud cleaning or moving of furniture from down stairs....

It was a good place...

Liked: The room was very big. It was very clean. Comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom.
Disliked: We could hear the people next door as they were talking and we could hear their tv through the wall. Luckily, the hotel was quiet in the evening and early morning.No decaf tea in the room.
