Met our needs, location good,...

Liked: Location was great for accessing Rutland Water Park - 25 minutes drive away.Rooms were big and adequate although a little tired and in need of refurbishment. There were clean, although there was quite a bit of dust evident in some areas. We paid for room only and chose not to eat there so cannot comment on food and beverage service.
Disliked: The reception desk was not manned. At check-in and when we needed to contact someone we had to ring from the desk to a pager. At one point after several calls and no response we ended up wandering into the bar and asking a bar tender for some assistance. We asked for a quiet room as we were getting up at 5:00am to attend the Vitruvian Triathlon the next day. The room was quiet and away from the centre of the hotel and a wedding party. Unfortunately there was a fire door just outside the room which continually opened and banged shut for hours by the wedding guests coming and going to their rooms. It continually woke us up.
