Needed a bed for a...

Liked: Bed was comfy.
Disliked: Hair dryer broken. Tv not the best for sound. The guy on reception/bar was very grumpy. Not my fault he was on his own. No need for the attitude. Myself and another couple were the only ones there checking in and getting a drink. He wasn’t over run but made us feel unwelcome

Liked: Easy check in and out,clean big twin room with iron and ironboard which i needed.Hot shower,good view over the Tay.Nice breakfast.

Excellent in every way.

Liked: This is a great hotel with excellent personal service. It is so wonderful these days to find someone on the reception desk (especially as I did not arrive until after 7 pm) who is actaully helpful in more ways than just handing over the room key. I was given very clear information as to where I could find good fish and chips, and provided with a real plate and knife & fork so that I could eat in in my room. Likewise, the breakfast arrangements are excellent with a lovely lady taking orders for tea/coffee and providing a written menu with a vast amount of choice. The service was very swift and the poached eggs freshly cooked (so often these days one helps oneself to food that has been cooked and waiting to be eaten for rather a long time!)The bedroom was very well appointed with no unnecessary frills.
Disliked: Everything was great. I couldn't make the shower work, but that was me not being used to showers, and not the fault of the hotel! Anyway, there was a lovely bath and lots of hot water.

Liked: It was very close to Dundee University. The breakfast was excellent.
Disliked: Nothing - we have no complaints.
