Disappointing

Needs improving unfortunately

Liked: The location of the Hotel is good and I've stayed there a few times.
Disliked: Not a lot of human interaction. I'm ok with technology but having to check in via touch screen I don't like. No one at reception and there is a sign saying 'come and find me at bar location '. A receptionist is the first interaction and first impression of a hotel. Not good, not having someone there.Room was OK but hot water was scalding hot and toilet flush was loose on wall because lid and seat were catching it! Tiling under sink you can see where it's been grouted but then not cleaned away. Wall handle above bath had Rusty coloured stain underneath it. Sealant around bath at places, very poor. Holes for pipes along wall into bath panel untidy. It was all something you would expect from a house and not at a hotel where room only is £105. Room number 37.I have stayed here a few times and this was by far my worst stay.

Liked: The location was excellent for the purpose of our trip
Disliked: No staff at check in or out. Problem with card machine Sweet jar is a lovely touch but it needs a wash, all sticky and messy Too much furniture in a room for accessible requirements Shower not fit for purpose in an accessible room. Leaks too. Hot tap in sink is scolding, I’m surprised no one has been burnt before I wrote a review last time mentioning the above disappointing that nothing has been done about it

BASIC COLD ROOM PRICED AT...

Liked: VERY NICE CHOICE & QUALITY OF FOOD FOR BREAKFAST
Disliked: THE ONLY HEATING WORKING IN THE ROOM WAS AN ELECTRIC HEATER & THE RADIATOR IN THE BATHROOM DID NOT COME ON MAKING THE BATHROOM RATHER COLD & THE ROOM A BIT DAMP.THE CENTRAL HEATING WAS EITHER NOT WORKING OR NOT SWITCHED ON AT THE HOTEL.

Liked: Fantastic quirky hotel. Staff were exceptional, polite, and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble.
Disliked: Room was very hot over night. Only spotted the fan in the morning.

I left tired and glad...

Liked: Breakfast mediocre. Location ok.
Disliked: Small double bed. Hard pillows. Curtains not hung properly. Dated room and facilities. Whole hotel tired and dated.
