Liked: We regularly use this hotel to break the journey from far north to south. It is value for money with good facilities. Rooms are comfortable, serviced well and accessibility from M6 is always easy.

Liked: Room was large and price was good for just needing a base in between locations.
Disliked: Check in - didn't like how open it was in the restaurant space and my details were read out. Price was incorrect and person on check out couldn't see why so had to ask next day. Bed wasn't in place as requested. Had to ask again. Had food early as was going out, no cutlery brought with meal, had to ask.Receptionist wasnt overly helpful when asking about the price and the bed. Just yep, ok, fine as responses.The continental breakfast was limited, not even a bowl of fresh fruit. My husband chose to just have a cup of tea and they still tried to charge us on check out. Loud heating pipework too and no low lamps in the room. The lights over the beds had no shades and were brighter than the main light.

Comfortable hotel with good restaurant.

Liked: Hotel is usually excellent, restaurant offers good food at a reasonable price and restaurant and reception staff are extremely helpful and professional. We have stayed here several times and have previously been very impressed.
Disliked: Room 18 was quite disappointing, bathroom sink had a large crack, broken enamel around plughole on bath, some buttons on tv remote were broken and room was not as clean as usual- interior door panels were very dusty.

Disliked: Could have benefited from more plug sockets in the room. Distinct lack of reception staff, had to go to the dining room to check in. Felt a little unwelcoming.
