Large room in a good...

Liked: A big room, excellent garage with electric loading facilities, easily accessed. Location is very good, a short walk to the cathedral. Excellent bed, bath and shower.
Disliked: At 11 pm when we tried to go to sleep, we could not turn out the lights. Two people from the hotel came and could not resolve the problem. We had to move to another room, two floors down. So we dressed again, packed all our things and moved to another room. Next morning, upon checkout, parking was deducted from our room charge, which was rather meager compensation. In general in both rooms everything was too complicated, or they don't work (like the 'Japanese 'toilet or the coffee machine (luke warm)). Also one small bottle of mineral water for two is not sufficient. This is not a cheap hotel.The breakfast was surprisingly poor: plastic emmenthaler cheese, Croissants for which every Frenchman would be ashamed, cold scrambled eggs, mediocre coffee. Awful Brie. Service was OK, but not friendly. Come onHotel de la Paix: you can do better! Be a little more French!

A very comfortable hotel with...

Liked: I had a virus while I was visiting Reims. The staff went out of their way to help me with an English speaking doctor & to assist with re-scheduling other hotel bookings. They were very accommodating. They couldn’t do enough for me.
Disliked: Everything was perfect
