Overrated and a little dissapointed

Liked: The size of the room was nice and the shower had nice water pressure. Hotel staff was very nice and efficient at check in. The pool area was very nice and spacious and had room for kids to play but not much of a pool for adults. 2 Hot tubs
Disliked: The beds were not that comfortable, and the bedding was not that soft and kind of itchy. The bottled water in the room was 2$ a bottle you could have just kept that in the store for people to purchase. The Bathrobe is intended for you to purchase at the end of your stay. Every resort that I have stayed at has had a free breakfast option and surprised they just gave you a 10% off coupon to eat at the restaurant. Went to the bar side for breakfast and got completely ignored for 20 minutes almost walked out until a sweet server finally came over after I " annoyed the bartender" by asking for someone. Im in customer service and have managed restaurants and that is not a great impression to leave, I guess they plan on travelers not coming back so it doesn't matter how you treat them. When we went to the bar in the evening, they catered more to the employees off the clock drinking at the bar then they did the customers sitting at the bar. Didn't try to strike up conversation was not friendly at all so was one and done vs spending a little more money and leaving a decent tip for great service. The fire alarm kept going off during stay which was a little discerning and lots of construction around the property.
