Disliked: Room key didn't work once and front desk was a hike to get fixed. Soap and shampoo dispenser in shower didn't work. Although hardly no cars in lot so assume not very busy, we were placed on second floor as far as possible from lobby which was only source of coffee. Video poker machines in lobby was tacky.

Very good and clean motel...

Liked: The food was ample and good. I was disappointed that there wasn't any decaf coffee in the breakfast area. I like coffee I just don't drink caffeine. Also, no in room coffee.
Disliked: The door to the outside is not a security door. Anyone can walk in without a room key and have access to the hallway of the motel. The closers on the doors need to be adjusted because the doors slam shut and cause a loud bang when closing.

We enjoyed it.

Liked: Breakfast was wonderful! Lots of options and all tasted delicious. Manager made us feel welcome. The front desk clerk when we checked in was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. He helped us to find Carl Sandburg’s home. The woman when we checked out was very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: There was a terrible, terrible machine noise in the bathroom. One could hardly stand to be in there. The door handle at the room entrance was loose. Had to push it in to then make the key work. To be fair, we did not tell them at the desk. But needs to be fixed - especially the noise!
