The Best Western Plus University Park Inn and Suites was the perfect location for our stay in Ames, IA. It was only 1.5 miles from the venue, Stephens Auditorium, and was also close to nearby restaurants and the highway. The hotel felt cozy and comfortable. We had a King Suite room and it was spacious and comfortable. Staff was friendly and courteous. We'll definitely return to this hotel again.

Liked: Clean hotel and loved the decor. Very welcoming and comfortable.

Nice - but not great....

Disliked: smelled like mold or dirty mop water… The front desk girl was very nice but flustered and was maybe undertrained. There were 2 check ins before mine and it took over 30mins to get checked in.

Liked: The location was the only thing I liked at this visit.
Disliked: The first room we were given hadn’t even been cleaned. The second room was ok but it was on the second floor and it was easiest to get to it from the back outside door but that door is hit or miss if it worked.

Highly recommend.

Liked: The place had a welcoming feel as soon as you walked through the door. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The breakfast was amazing. The room was comfortable and quiet.
Disliked: There was nothing I didn't like. It was perfect.

Quiet and comfortable

Liked: Quiet and comfortable beds
Disliked: We have stayed here several times. The faucets to the sinks in all of the rooms are the waterfall type and extremely hard to keep clean - there’s pink mold on the top that won’t come off and we don’t use the sink water when we stay there. Hope they change out there faucets because it’s a nice place to stay otherwise.
