Exceptional

Liked: This is an excellent hotel given the location to many attractions in all seasons.
Disliked: Unfortunately the huge spa (50x6) was closed. This heated spa is usually exceptional, especially during the winter! Same for the swimming pool.

Liked: Breakfast was ok. Kids liked the automatic pancake maker
Disliked: The shower curtain came crashing down while my son was in the shower

Awesome spot to crash after...

Liked: Hotel is perfect if you're in Tahoe to ski any of the mountains on the north or west side. No frills, but great location with walkable restaurants and proximity to a great grocery store, as well as downtown Truckee.
Disliked: The hot tub wasn't working. The pool was warm and was a half-decent replacement...but the hot tub would have been clutch.
