Should have stayed nearby
Liked: Nice bar area.
Disliked: Attended a wedding. Food portions were minuscule and the drinks were vastly overpriced as was the room itself.

Lovely venue but the food...
Liked: The building itself was beautiful, we attended a wedding and stayed for the night too. The wedding venue was amazing!
Disliked: They contacted me 2 weeks after our stay to say we hadn’t paid for our stay, which we had. I sent them my email confirmation of our payment and they didn’t reply, and have ignored all emails I have sent since. There was only one member of staff on the bar on the evening of the wedding, I really felt for him as the que was huge to be served and you could tell he didn’t stop once all evening. He was amazing at his job and always had a smile on his face but there definitely should have been more staff on the bar. The breakfast was terrible, there was no orange/apple juice left, the scraps of the fruit were left and there was no beans left for the actual full English breakfast. The rest of the food on the breakfast wasn’t the best either.

Very disappointing
Disliked: The receptionist on duty was not very professional, and insisted that when we checked in there was a £50 holding fee on the room in case any damage occurred during our stay I was very offended by this as I’m not a thug or hooligan and worked in hospitality for over 30 years . I know all about the Apartment group and their scheme . I’m Just glad we had not paid a deposit for a wedding !!! I was told that the holding fee would be returned on the morning of check out , but it was not returned during check out and I was told it would be returned at 3pm after housekeeping had serviced and checked the room , so with disbelief I returned to the room and took photos of everything before I left which is a little crazy but it’s for peace of mind A day later I have still not had my holding returned of £50 so now I hsve to go through my bank , this incident totally ruined our trip and if I had of know about a holding fee when I booked the room through booking . Com I would have cancelled it straight away be warned and watch out !!

Clean, good sized room providing...
Liked: I didn't utilise the breakfast or dinner aspect due to leaving early for work and currently following some dietry precautions. I did have a look at the menu and it seemed fairly priced and interesting with varied fayre. the room is a decent sized room, has provision of a fridge. It was very clean with a daily room service too.
Disliked: The heating could do with improving and the radiator was tepidly warm at its highest setting. I tried adjusting the radiator to no avail and had a staff member try too. I was offered use of a portable heater. It would be nice to arrive to a warm or neutral room.
