Originally built in 1835 The Croft Hotel BW Signature Collection is located in the historic village of Croft-on-Tees overlooking the River Tees. Free parking and free WiFi are available at the hotel. The hotel combines period features with modern décor. Each room has an private bathroom a work desk TV hairdryer as well as tea/coffee making facilities and Egyptian cotton bed linen. Some rooms have beautiful views of Croft Bridge and St Peter's Church supposedly where Lewis Carroll was inspired to write Alice in Wonderland. The on-site restaurant serves up a range dishes specializing in traditional English cuisine but with contemporary influences. They are committed to using locally sourced produce wherever possible and there is also a range of bar snacks and packed lunches available. There are also some dedicated function rooms available for business conferences weddings and other special occasions. Despite its quiet location The Croft Hotel BW Signature Collection is only 8 minutes' drive from the center of Darlington 7 minutes from the A1 and 15 minutes from Teesside International Airport. Popular nearby attractions include Croft Circuit which is only a 6-minute drive away. Darlington Railway Museum is 5 miles away while Richmond Castle is 10.6 miles away from The Croft Hotel BW Signature Collection.

Liked: Lovely decor in the main areas
Disliked: Rooms and corridors are dated. Limited parking. Staff are slow to respond and not enough bar / reception staff.

Ok, nothing special, doubt I’ll...

Liked: Good location for our visit. Clean room.
Disliked: No bath towels in bathroom, only hand towels, two window panes cracked and noise from the wind. Heated towel rail not on / not working. Room very “compact” for £157 for two people. Staff did not enquire about our stay when we checked out or ask for feedback.

Overall good

Liked: Beautiful Christmas decorations and the log fires . The breakfast was very good.
Disliked: The bells were ringing loudly across the road in the church. Ground floor room facing the road some road noise.
