Best Western Plus Steeplegate Inn, Davenport

We are fussy about motels as far as clean rooms, well kept structure, staff, nice furnished rooms, and a motel that you regret later about staying at. The Best Western Plus Steeplegate Inn in Davenport, Iowa met everything we like in motels and then some. Cost was good also, not one to break your checking account. Would recommend it to friends, family, and any one looking for a 'Really Nice' Motel to stay in and will stay in again if I'm in the Davenport area. Give it 5 Stars, plus 5 more!

Liked: Clean rooms; friendly staff; good food; well kept, neat layout.
Disliked: Could only stay one night.

Liked: Love the atmosphere, clean rooms, and location.
Disliked: Did not like that there was no hot tub also breakfast was not good, no waffles, broken dispensers. Also while we were staying North door would not work with key card. We stay every year at the same time, has really declined since last year.

Liked: Not happy the pool was dirty and freezing, the breakfast wasnt good but the lady was sweet, not much of taste, the juice machine wasnt plugged in tasted sour, creame cheese was out on a plate gross not much of how steeplegate was years ago id stay again but kind of dissapointed

It was an ok stay.

Liked: Everything looked clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I ran down and grabbed some breakfast to take up to our room. It was good. Staff were very friendly.
Disliked: I was looking forward to take a normal bath because we don't have one at home. The drain did not stay closed without holding it down. The faucet ran quite slow and the water was just luke warm not hot. Maybe this was from a lot of people using hot water in the hotel. The faucet also leaked from where it turns on and so did the faucet from the sink. I talked to the person at the front desk when checking out. They were going to check on it so maybe it will all be good.

Liked: It was clean. Lamp in room didn't work. Pool area was cold and pool table had no pool sticks or anything to play with it.
Disliked: Tv was very small for the room and the positioning was bad. The cabinet the refrigerator was in wouldn't close.
