I thought that the staff was great. My room was comfortable.

Liked: Friendly staff.

Many website stated free breakfast, but there wasn't one. The rooms were very dated; the heat didn't work; the bed was as hard as a rock; none of our channels worked. We did have a view of the water and the lighted town tree! The staff was very kind.

Liked: Nice front desk staff.
Disliked: Heat didn't work; hard bed; no free breakfast as stated.

The rooms were wonderful; the staff was fantastic. I couldn't believe that we got charged $11 for 'services' that we didn't use - just a general service charge. It put a kink in my feel about the hotel. I would rather that they increase the rate, rather than hitting me with that fee when I walked in the door.

Liked: Excellent staff; excellent room etc.
Disliked: General Service Charge.

Absolutely filthy and rude staff

Disliked: Checking in they asked for cc for charging stuff to the room. As I always do when traveling for work I said no. I have had false charges before. When pushed I provide a card and said wow policy has changed since last year (it was a simple observation). After swiping my cc he proceeded to lecture me on why it was necessary. I said ok again you changed your policy since last year it is what it is. The guy started rambling about other people in my group checking in, email them, privacy concerns and dropping the card off the acct. I had no idea what he was talking about so said ok she’s checking in tomorrow. He handed me a parking permit thing to go in the car. I said do I need to walk back out and put this in the car? Also a new policy change since last year. He said depends if you are leaving early then no. I said define early (a fair question). He said 8am. He did his company shtick on breakfast and WiFi then asked if there was anything I needed before heading off to bed. A weird thing to say to a woman and teenage girls and weirder still since it was 7:30 pm. So I had a private conversation with the teenage girls about them going to the room or with me and decided we’d all go together. The teenagers with me were shocked because our take away was that the employee at the front desk was snarky and rude. The whole exchange had me uncomfortable and the girls asking what his issue was tonight. It is of note that the manager was not present for any of this. The hallways were filthy. The lamp and chair in our room had a white substance on it. The refrigerator and bedding smelled like mildew. The shower water smelled horrible a mix of fish and chlorine. Do not walk around in your socks or bare footed. If it wasn’t getting late and we hadn’t just driven for 4.5 hrs we would have left and checked in at the Quality Inn.

Will avoid staying at this...

Liked: The only thing I liked about this hotel was the proximity to the venue.
Disliked: The staff was rude and inconsiderate. They acted like we barged into their home uninvited. They treated us with disrespect and condemnation. They were just barely helpful. The bathtub had what looked like maybe a soap ring.

Management never got back to...

Liked: Close to the pavilion for an event we attended
Disliked: My water/balcony view was the worst. It was right over a building where they have trucking containers and looked very trashy. The balcony was much smaller than what we expected based on pictures we saw that our room would look like.

Liked: I liked how close it is to base and the mall.
Disliked: The carpet is absolutely disgusting. The floor feels uneven. I could see bloodstains in the room’s carpet. And there was hair on my bathroom ceiling.
