Liked: Great location. Quiet but close to M1. Lovely views. Really friendly and helpful team, especially with being disabled and having a disabled dog!
Disliked: Can’t think of anything

Nice hotel, needs some work....

Liked: The property is okay. The location is good and it has a nice feel about it. The staff made it though. Everyone I came across was friendly and helpful. Lovely people who I would say make this a higher rating than it perhaps should have been.
Disliked: The hotel is a bit dated, the shower head had a bit of mould on it and sprayed everywhere (was quite funny) and the sink in the room was blocked. Overall the hotel just needs a lick of paint and a bit of TLC (repairs and such). Also the room we were in was below the stairs that creaked really loud anytime someone used them. (Room 008). This wasn’t too bad as the stairs were used 3 or 4 times only, but during busy times would be a nuisance. Again, could be sorted easily with a bit of repair work.

Liked: The setting is pretty where the grounds are also well kept.
Disliked: No seating area for groups apart from the bar area which was cold to sit in.

Was more a 2 star...

Liked: Sorry not alot, the staff were helpful and the building was impressive from the outside.
Disliked: The room, it was very tired and dated, in particular the bathroom which was very old. We were allocated a room for disabled guests (not sure why), the sink was very low down and stained. When we took a shower it completely flooded the bathroom floor, as it was not enclosed. Paint was peeling off the walls and the toilet did not have a lid and no there was no toilet brush. As there was an event on, it was very busy (especially at breakfast). The noise from other guests in the early hours made sleeping difficult! Very overpriced.
