Liked: I booked Best Western for a reason. It had a bedroom and 2 living rooms and pet friendly. Our dog has severe anxiety. We need to have a room to put him in so others could sleep and for privacy for my husband and I. I received a call at 11 the day we were checking in telling me they were over booked and moving us to Capt Hiram's. Well, our reservation was for 4 people they put us in a room for only 2 and said that was all they had available. I booked this because I had family at Oyster Bay Resort 2 mins away visiting from Ohio. They did call me back and say they had a cancelation for a room with 2 queen beds. We had NO other choices as we were already packed and on our way. This is NOT what we had, I mind! We had NO privacy since it was one open room. Our dog anxiety was through the roof because he could hear EVERY SINGLE NOISE IN THE HALL WAY. That is why we picked the room we did at BEST WESTERN. I would like to say the staff at Capt Hiram's we are extremely nice and it is a very nice place. I would have completely enjoyed it if it were JUST my husband and I. However, that was not the case. We ended up having an awful trip to the room, NOT BEING what we wanted and selected for our needs. I know it wasn't the staffs fault, and this something I need to take up with Booking.com because they said you overbooked them! We also ended up paying more there because breakfast wasn't included, and we had to pay dog fees. This was NOT RIGHT and a waste of $400.
Disliked: We didn't get the hotel or room we selected for our needs. We didn't have free breakfast that was supposed to be included and had to pay more money for our dog. We had NO privacy because we were put into 1 room with queen beds. This is not right and we should be credited back.

Will definitely go back

Great location and welcoming staff

Liked: Staff is amazing as always, the ladies at the reception assisted us to amend our booking without any hassle and were very helpful throughout our stay. Location is amazing, lots of restaurants and rental places around.
Disliked: We always stay at this hotel when in the area, but noticed that cleaning wasn’t as good this time, unfortunately.
