Unable to recommend to others

Liked: All employees at this hotel were friendly and pleasant.
Disliked: The hotel did not appear busy at all, but we were given a room on the first floor directly across from the pool with people happily enjoying the pool loudly. This was disappointing as I made my reservation very far in advance of our stay. The hotel room itself showed many signs of aging, wear and tear, and just needed a facelift. The bathroom floor was uneven, and the bathtub felt uneven as strange as that may sound. I felt that I was leaning backwards standing in the tub as it was not level. Someone else's hair was in the tub. The molding on the lower walls was peeling in certain places. In general, it did not feel very safe. Even though I was not staying alone, we propped a chair up against the door so we would hear someone coming in or trying to come in. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel to others. The breakfast was just awful. The potatoes were not cooked. The waffle maker sets to a time automatically, but that time doesn't cook it through. There was batter still in batter form in the middle of the waffle. The egg was cold.

Liked: Comfortable bed with choice of pillows. Good room lighting and table to eat at. Really nice shampoo, body wash, and lotion. Good selection at breakfast. With construction in the area staff was very helpful with directions. Would definitely recommend!
Disliked: Bathroom could use updating but not a big deal.
