Plaza Premium Den Haag City...

Liked: Me and my whole family was happy. Close to the station, trams around the corner, shops opposite. Reception staff 10/10. Everyone so nice and friendly. I'll write this here because it's not a defect, but a suggestion:a larger shelf in the shower would be useful, and paying more attention to scrubbing silicones in the shower.Huge fridge for hotel conditions, microwave was a nice surprise (I guess I didn't read the description carefully :). I consider the wide washbasin countertop to be a huge plus. Soft towels, fresh bedding, comfortable beds.

Disliked: When we arrived on Thursday after a 10 hr drive the lift was broken in the hotel and so we had to carry our heavy bags up 2 flights of stairs and then get in a service lift that felt like it was in a scary part of the building late at night, cut off from anyone. Made us feel quite vulnerable as two women.The lift was still broken the next day and the service lift wasnt working properly either so we were having to walk up flights of steps.

Liked: Before a made my reservation with this Plaza Premium in Den Haag, I wasn't aware of the Plaza Premium brand, before it was a Best Western at time of booking, so I was expecting some Best Western vibes, to be honest I wasn't that disappointed, the location of this hotel was important to me, and I couldn't ask for better, regardless of what hotel brand it is.All the staff within the hotel I met were very helpful, knowledgeable , approachable and enjoyed what they do, it was good that they provide complimentary water for the room, which some hotels don't do. This hotel only has a restaurant for breakfast, no evening meals/ dining, but their is plenty of options within walking distance of the hotel , the breakfast options is a buffet, both hot and cold, they offer everything a breakfast buffet should offer, and another nice touch was some local produce, ie cheeses and cold meats. The hot options were also good quality, it was nice to see omelettes and pancakes available. I did try the coffee and it wasn't that great, but a wide arrange of juices made up for that, I also thought the value of 17 euros for the buffet was justifiable. The room, was great, modern, modern interior and also the hallways , corridors had a modern feel. a good bathroom and powerful shower unit, the bed was very comfortable for a new brand of hotel that I wasn't aware of, the room was also clean to a good standard, and everything worked in the room.
Disliked: Some slight issues around the hotel I faced upon arrival and during the stay, was that the main elevator was out of service, during the duration of my stay, I was on level 5, and had to go up 5 levels of stairs each time, and when arriving back after exploring/ walking for the most of the day, contending with 5 levels of stairs is least what somebody would want. The reception and bar area is located on the 4th floor, which seems a bit bizarre for a hotel. No evening meal options in the restaurant, only room service for microwavable meals.
