Disliked: The staff was rude when we first checked in. Got charged another $50 deposit that was not required on booking and website did not say there was going to be an additional fee. On top of that the front desk lady was trying to charge me the full amount for the room again saying I didn’t pay already. I told her numerous times I had the confirmation number but she did not care to look at it. After a while of standing there she finally said oh my bad you did pay. Then when we checked in, went to the pool the pool was ice cold and the smell of chlorine was so strong. We could not stay in the pool for long. My daughter was coughing non stop and our eyes were burning. Not only that, but when we had left our room for 2 hours the maids had come in to clean. Before we left, I had put the garbage by the door with the dirty towels. Everything else was cleaned up. We had left a pizza box on the table with more than half of stuffed bread. Also there was another container on top of the box with more food in it for my daughter. When we got back to the hotel, it was gone. I went to front desk, the lady said she was going to figure it out. Got a call over the phone and she said they can give $15 off our next stay. I said I would not be staying with them again for multiple reasons, can they just replace the stuffed bread. And she kept insisting there was nothing else they can do. Then she tried telling me there was only a piece of pizza in the box and the maid had opened it and saw it and then tossed it thinking there was trash along with the other container ontop of the box. I questioned why she would even touch the food when the room was cleaned, all the trash was by the door and clearly there was food in the box and on top of it. So why would you go into someone’s room and touch their food. I get if you thought it was trash and you’re trying to clean. But if you lifted up the container and the box you can clearly tell there was food.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel's location was perfect, breakfast buffet with a wide variety of options. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful stay in Berlin Connecticut.

Disappointed

Disliked: The room had no heat. You could set the unit to 90 and get no heat. I left at 850pm and went to another hotel.
