Liked: Comfortable room
Disliked: On our second day at the hotel, we returned to find that the room had not been cleaned, the beds unmade and wet towels still on the bathroom floor. Housekeeping was surprised that we did not state that we wanted the room cleaned and new towels. We got clean towels but one had several holes! They do not make a room reduction if you volunteer not to have your room cleaned.

A budget stay in the...
Liked: The hotel is located centrally. The bed was soft - for longer stays (beyond 1 night) it might have been uncomfortable. The towels were plush (note: there was one wholly towel). The bathroom products were good. There was plenty of hot water. There was internet access. My room faced East, so it was not facing the nightclub neighbour and there were no noise impacts.
Disliked: There were holes (40mm and 10mm across, respectively) in the first bath towel on the pile. Luckily, there were 2 other towels for the other beds in the room, and they were wholesome. The front door is locked at a particular time in the evening - there are no signs on the front door to advise this, and I was not briefed at check in on how to access the hotel at night if the front door is locked. I walked around the building to find the car park access door, with swipe card access. The curtains on the window are block out, but they do not cover the glass; there was a 100-150mm gap between the curtains, which needed to be resolved as the room faced East. The solution was to cross the two curtains and push the occasional chairs against them to hold them closed. The fridge froze the milk in the door, but the products on the shelves (yoghurt) were kept cold but not frozen. The cleaner's start vacuuming the corridor early on a Sunday morning, and the doors are not acoustically sealed, so you can hear the vacuum and guests down the hallway talking with one another.

Passable
Liked: Location was great, beds were comfortable enough
Disliked: Fridge made a clanking noise every time the compressor kicked in which sounded like someone banging on the door. Kept me awake most of the night. Was reported the following morning so hopefully it’s fixed. Soap in bathroom was empty, usually I would have my own but was starting the overland track the following morning and didn’t have the luxury of that.

Liked: Room was spacious…bed was comfortable
Disliked: Bathroom was outdated…don’t like a shower in the bath …it’s dangerous & the water didn’t drain well so was always sloshing around in water…Also the area was very noisy with cars
