Loved my week stay at...

Liked: I was traveling to charlotte nc for surgery. i was happy to see upon entering my room that it was clean n tidy. always fresh linen and towels at the ready and the free breakfast everyday was also very gud. if i travel to charlotte nc i will be looking to stay at Best Western Plus.

Facility is well kept but...

Liked: Location was excellent as I had a Hearing scheduled at NC DMV Office. Desk and Breakfast staff were outstanding and helpful with each challenge that needed to be addressed. Facility and room were as nice as could be for the age and obvious wear and tear. The breakfast was fresh, hot, and provided a good selection.
Disliked: To start with, the keycards/electric door lock was a challenge with each use. My card was either demagnetized after each use. (The first time I thought maybe my cell phone had demagnetized them, but it happened after I made sure reprogrammed cards were not exposed. The lock itself seemed to be either shorted or had a low battery). The room was very tidy, but had a stale aroma, there were no USB ports on any of the bedside or desk lamps, and the 110 outlets were loose fitting and didn't work continuously ( phone charger, lap top, and CPAP all intermittently lost power and the plug had to be "jiggled" to retain current). The BED had obviously seen more than a few guest over time, and the mattress desperately needs to be replaced. I had a late check-in and returned late my 2nd evening, so I never brought this to anyone's attention...until now. I didn't have time, energy, or patience to do a room change or mattress change, and the bed was at least better than a couch surfing alternative. Beyond the control of the Hotel, access was a bit of a challenge as the single entrance was inhibited by road construction. You could get in and out, but it was a sometime exciting adventure to do so.
