Ok but what is was...

Liked: Location and parking good
Disliked: Cracked hand basin that was blocked and dirty water sat in bowl for 15 minutes , I pointed out to staff on reception on leaving and no offer of reduction on room price was offered to allow for the lack of facilities that functioned as expected

I recommend the Grim’s Dyke...

Liked: I love coming back here. The history behind the hotel is fascinating as are the stunning grounds. All the staff are polite, friendly and accommodating. Had a lovely morning sitting in the bar and chatting to other guests as we sipped our coffees. We all felt so relaxed. Nice way to spend a Sunday morning.
Disliked: Perhaps the decor can be a little tired but still pristine!
