Liked: I traveled to Richmond to participate in the marathon. This hotel was close to downtown, but quite affordable. As noted, I thought the room was really quite nice and clean. I slept well before the race.I wanted to especially call out the hotel manager for going above and beyond. I left the hotel early to get to the race start. After the race, I noticed that I had a voicemail from the hotel. Expecting that I had left something behind, instead it was the manager apologizing sincerely that I had checked out and left before the hot breakfast was available. What an incredibly nice gesture! (I generally don't eat much before race.) The voicemail was so kind. I have stayed at many hotels over the years. This simple gesture really stood out to me as showing that the manager really cares for her guests. Thank you.
