Will not be going back.

Liked: Nice employees.
Disliked: No fridge, could not control the air conditioning, was almost not allowed to stay because I was 20 but was not informed I needed to be 21 to rent a room. It also took an hour and a half to have breakfast (get a table be served and eat).

Disliked: Extreme laut electricity noise whole night. This is weary bed for all customers who will stay overnight in this room.

It was good. Not great...

Liked: When we entered the room is smelled of cigarette smoke. Probably due to the old carpet. We opened the patio door to bring in some fresh air.

Disliked: Sound insulation - you have choice have chat or not with you neighbors, but you can not avoid sound.

Disliked: The room does NOT match the website description. The Queen suite with sofa bed does NOT have a kitchen. Turns out the room with kitchen only has a single queen bed, not functional for a family. Apparently, according to the staff, the room type they booked us for (Queen suite, with sofa bed and kitchen) does not exist.The manager acknowledged this and they were okay to deal with at the desk. I explained we'd be checking out the next morning. I spoke to FOUR staff members - 2 the night we checked in, 2 the morning we were leaving for another hotel with proper facilities. All assured me we were good. I noted two days later that Best Western Plus Gatineau has charged us for the full three nights even though we checked out ASAP the next morning. Their customer service has said it is a booking.com issue, however - the staff assured us we were checked out and a manager would call me about the issues. I paid at the hotel, NOT booking com. I tried to reach multiple times their service to get a refund. I am disputing the charge and will probably pursue it further if they will not refund the balance. Never an issue we've encountered prior when using Booking.com. I made certain to take screenshots of the misleading listings. The lobby, elevator and halls were messy. I'd avoid this establishment in future and would not return.
