Exceptional

Noisy room and not up...

Liked: Easy check in and check out and staff in the reception was good. Offers free parking with some spaces covered and some outside. Room was spacious and clean.
Disliked: The two main issues I had was first the noise from the road that my room was facing, which was there even overnight, making it very hard to nearly impossible to sleep even with earplugs (as I am somewhat sensitive to noise when sleeping) and second the water, which had some fishy/chlorine smell, especially in the bathroom sink, but also a bit the bath. I am not sure if that is an issue with the property itself or the area, but I have not noticed it in other hotels and restaurants around LA.Then there were several other more minor issues. The parking, despite being free, was quite narrow and the covered part had a small number of spaces which usually fill quickly. The bed had a weird blanket between the cover sheets which did not feel very modern and in par with the rest of the room. They make it clear that housekeeping will not enter the room unless the green button is pressed, however it was not clear (at least to me) that there is also time constraint, as if the button is pressed late (after 2pm) they will still not enter the room. This was not a problem for me as I only stayed for three nights and had more than enough bedding and towels for one person, however I can see it being a problem for more people or longer stays. Overall, I booked the hotel primarily for a shower and a sleep, as I was out most of the day and it kind of failed in both, that’s why the low rating. That was surprising given the high average rating, as I had better experience in other lower rated hotels.
