In short, the value wasn't...

Liked: The staff were friendly, and the hotel appeared to be clean. Our rooms were comfortable.
Disliked: Considering what we received the previous evening when we stayed in Osoyoos, we were expecting a fabulous experience in Fernie. Approaching the hotel, it appeared to potentially be a good choice, however:* we needed to carry our suitcases up to place them on the luggage cart to get them to our rooms*the closest rooms we were offered had us a couple of floors apart, although we were above and below each other*breakfast area was small and crowded. Choices were OK, but nothing spectacular, should've gone to Tim Horton's (and I don't drink coffee)*A/C / heating unit quite noisy when set to a level we preferred. We discovered this quite late and were unwilling to change rooms so we didn't notify the hotel*needed to wait "A while" for a luggage cart on checking out. Should be more carts for a hotel of this size*Only one of the rooms had a freezer in the refrigerator, which meant we needed to transfer things from one room to the other I don't believe we will ever return to this hotel
