Best Western Plus Edinburgh City Centre Bruntsfield Hotel, Edinburgh

Liked: Very friendly staff; comfortable room; great breakfast.
Disliked: ConcertHotels state free breakfast and parking! Only a 25 space car park so had to park in street for Â£6. Hotel say they never offer free breakfast!

Liked: Free to use EV charger.
Disliked: EV charger cannot be reserved. Staff can’t even stop it being blocked by a non-EV.Tiny breakfast portions.

Great stay in Edinburgh

Liked: We enjoyed our stay at The Bruntsfield - our room was cosy, quiet and comfortable with a spacious bathroom. The hotel is located in a lovely neighbourhood and is well located for the city centre.
Disliked: Can’t think of anything!

Liked: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic and the time was very good for both working and pleasure. The room was of a very good size and amply space for working also.Location was fantastic also

Liked: The breakfast was excellent, offering both hot and cold food, and the service very good. Reception was very helpful and the room cleanliness could not be faulted.

Disliked: Restaurant was very disappointing. Food was poor and service was inexperienced (willing and polite though).

Liked: Room was spacious and clean.Bar staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Disliked: Reception customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Upon arrival and check in, I wasnt given any sort of friendly welcome. No information about adding a breakfast option. No information about bar / restaurant location until i specifically asked about it. No information about pre authorisation options. The only question I was asked was relating to the hotel parking permit but I explained I was using the free on street parking. Quite unprofessionally, a gentleman at the desk was berating an email he had received from someone.The room itself was spacious and clean but noise levels were really bad, both internally, from other guests or staff, and externally from traffic. The bathroom was grubby, unclean and unacceptable for any hotel, let alone a 4 star.Sadly I won't be returning.
