Liked: The venue location was perfect. However, our beautiful bedroom window overlooking the sea was completely covered in pigeon excrement. Which made even looking out of the window unappealing. The standard double room was very cramped. The room could barely accommodate two small bags. The room itself wasn't the cleanest.The breakfast was delicious and the gym incredible.

Liked: Reception undergoing refurbishment so not a very welcoming space, but made up for by the friendly & helpful staff. Very comfortable bed but my sleep was disturbed on account of noise from outside. A change of room was no problem and I slept very well for the remaining 3 nights of my stay. Housekeeping returned an overlooked phone charger to me next day. I ate in Churchills Bar each night and enjoyed both food & wonderful Sri Lankan non alcoholic cocktails. I was looked after very well by Manager Rehan as well as Arun & the bar team. I had possibly the best massage of my life and enjoyed the spa facilities
Disliked: The restaurant was disappointingly empty and Wheelers a bit run down so I chose to eat in the bar despite its very small menu. The shower attachment in the first room was broken, as was the bedside light. I was disappointed in the spa facilities - no robes were supplied and nowhere to hang towels. No locker security. Jacuzzi water was barely warm and the sauna wasn’t hot. No cold plunge pool but the shower didn’t run cold! No swimsuit spinner.
