The most disappointing hotel experience...

Liked: The front desk staff was very friendly.
Disliked: Location was in front of a train track - very loud and obstructed “ocean view”My balcony had a huge lit up budget sign and it blocked my view of the sunset and also was so bright, I couldn’t leave my curtains opened at night. The hot tub was in this VERY small gated space with room for about 1 person. Never even went in there because it was so cramped. The floors were incredibly dirty. I ended up taking some damp washcloths and wiping them down myself because my feet were almost black by walking on them. Although the beach was right across the highway - with the additional train track, it took some walking just to get to the beach. They were remodeling and when I arrived they were power washing and I couldn’t walk up the stairs without getting dirty water poured on my head. Everything was in disarray and there were ladders and tools and construction trash everywhere. When I arrived back to my room in the middle of the day, there was a man on balcony. He had moved all my furniture around and was attempting to scrape and paint. All my curtains were open and my balcony door was unlocked. I was shocked. I went and told the front desk and they apologized and asked him to stop working there - but I’m sorry you can’t upgrade a room when someone has booked it! I was so disappointed in the whole experience really. I did my best to spend as much time away from the room as possible when I really was just hoping to soak in a hot tub and stare at the ocean from my balcony - which is what I tried to pay for but ended up being able to do neither.

Liked: Beautiful views, cozy bed, and very friendly owners.
Disliked: Breakfast items could have been hotter, but there's a microwave so I just heated them up.

Liked: The location was perfect! Beautiful view! The staff was so friendly & helpful. Breakfast was delicious. They were in the process of remodeling so there was a lot of work going on while we were there. Great thing about that is it will be that much better the next time.
Disliked: The mattresses weren't very comfortable but the staff was great in doing their best to try and resolve that.

Disliked: Shower was narrow in width and no pool.

The Best Western Hotel in...

Liked: I liked my balcony room. I liked the breakfast. I liked the elevator. I liked the front desk staff person.
Disliked: I wish I had a tub in the bathroom. The bathroom was small. If I was overweight, I could not have fit in the bathroom.

Liked: Staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. The location was great. Rooms were clean.
Disliked: Needs a little upgrading but is ok.
