Comfy, stylish, clean

Liked: Cute decor, friendly staff, very clean, close to the beat of Capitola. Comfortable beds. Very quiet!
Disliked: The only thing that I’d change is the free breakfast. It’s actually better than most American hotel continental breakfasts, but had very few gluten free options and mostly processed food. If hotels are going to go through the trouble of setting it up, why not serve a little higher quality food with clear allergen labels.

Liked: Clean, staff was great, bed was surprisingly comfortable and breakfast was decent. Location was close enough to the beach and close to target which was helpful. The spa bath was AMAZING!
Disliked: - Thin walls. We could hear hear the people above us loudly and I doubt they were walking hard. Could also hear people outside in the hallway.- the strong smell of the coffee maker in the lobby was too much. It would be ideal if they could provide that nice perk elsewhere, maybe in the dining area? - people not respecting the quiet hours that were clearly marked. Yelling across hallways, including staff on walkie talkies. Again maybe just thin walls.

Disappointing

Liked: The hotel has great rooms which are comfortable and it is well located in Capitola. Staff are really helpful
Disliked: Hotel had allowed a rock band tour bus to park up for 4-5 days in front of the hotel doors and the diesel engine was on 24x7 and as my window faced out that way, it kept me awake a few nights. Not sure I would have stayed if anyone would have told me that was going to happen and I only found out when I asked at the desk and staff seemed a little bemused as well. Guess this is a decision taken higher up the chain but reflects a disregard for the general customer. I cannot see I would have been tolerated putting a diesel generator in the hallway.

Wouldn’t go back

Disliked: Carpets are filthy and our first room before they moved us had mold and mildew
