Handy position, but the food...

Liked: Room was fine, clean etc. Staff were great
Disliked: Room had no pictures on the wall made it feel a little soulless, bit like the bar, it was very quiet.The food wasn't that good, although breakfast sausage was great. The last night I had fish fingers in a 'toasted' roll. The fish was cooked, but luke warm and the roll wasn't toast, I would have mentioned it to the staff but there wasn't anyone around.

Convenient stop over in comfort...

Liked: Convenient for M1 / A57 junction, plenty of parking and EV charging was a bonus. Nice rural setting and traditional building. Bathroom had good hot water supply.
Disliked: Supplementary heater in room (we didn't need it despite frost) was a bit dusty.

My stay was very pleasant...

Liked: The evening dinner was superb, from the first course too dessert. I didn't have breakfast as I didn't feel well through the night ( nothing to do with the food or any other thing to do with the hotel ) and I decieded that I needed to sleep rather than having breakfast.. :-)
Disliked: The room was comfortable and clean as I would expect
