Beautiful place in beautiful surroundings
Liked: The location & venue was superb & the staff friendly & very helpful
Disliked: The shower/hot water was a little temperamental. The water took a long time to run hot & didn’t quite hold an even temperature. This however didn’t spoil our stay as it did stay hot enough for a shower & never went too hot.

Very good
Liked: Room, location and staff excellent
Disliked: Breakfast choice limited, and kept running dry of what they did have. We had to wait each time we wanted something.Don't go here if you are in a hurry

Beautiful location and good value...
Liked: Beautiful location. Very easy to park. Room was comfortable.
Disliked: Took awhile for the room to heat up - but was warm from then on. Took awhile for the hot water to reach the tap - had to let the water flow for 5 mins or so. Walls are a little thin.

Liked: Nice location. Interesting property, comfortable and good service from most of the staff.
Disliked: My room was fine but some of the facilities in my friends room did not work. The ceiling lights in the rooms are more fit for a cubic house bathroom rather than a wam cosy hotel room.

No conventional central heating, cold...
Liked: The view across Rutland Water was superb but we have that from our own home every day a few miles away.
Disliked: Our visit was on a chilly day in winter. The only reason for the stay was that at our own home the central heating had broken down and our home was cold. The bedrooms at Normanton Park Hotel did not have central heating and just had electric heaters on the wall.I saw that some heaters in communal parts had digital displays which were set to 60 degrees Centigrade. The bedroom was cold, it did warm up after a few hours, this should have been done prior to our arrival.
